Book An AppointmentHave You Picked the Right Bathtub Waste?
Bathtub waste is a bath drain fitting attached to the bottom of the tub. It guides water down the bath drains to be smoothly discharged into the sewers and effectively prevents water leakages. Generally, bath wastes are made of brass, stainless steel, or plastic. Among them, brass is usually the best because it has good corrosion resistance, anti-abrasion, anti-bacterial, and long service life. Myhomeware offers durable, high-quality brass bathtub waste with and without overflow. Our beautiful products provide a touch of sophistication and elegance to your bathroom while preventing your bathtub from leaking and damaging the floors, helping reduce cleaning time!
MyHomeware not only provides top-notch products, but also offers a range of colors to match your bathtub. Our products come in the most common bath waste size to meet most people's needs. We also offer pop-up bathtub drain replacements, which prevent the loss of bath plugs by simply pressing the plug to open or close the drain. All of our products are designed to make your life easier. We hope you enjoy a convenient, one-stop shopping experience at Myhomeware!
FAQs about Bathtub Wastes
Q: What is a bath waste?
A bathroom waste is an essential component of a bathtub and generally comes in two types: pop-up and pop-down. You can fill the tub with water or efficiently drain wastewater into the sewers by pressing it. Therefore, using a bath waste cleans the tub efficiently and hygienically. It also prevents water from leaking onto the floor and saves it from damage from long-term exposure.
Q: How to change a bath waste?
If you have the right tools, replacing a bath waste is simple with the following steps:
- Unscrew the middle part of the bath waste and remove the old one.
- Unscrew the bath connection at both ends of the bathtub waste drain (the two joints connecting them), and remove the overflow pipe.
- Push the new bathtub waste into the tub hole according to how you removed it in the previous step. Tighten the screw to the bathtub drain and connect the other end of the pipe to the new overflow.
- Once installation is done, close the bathtub plug and fill the tub with four to five inches of water. Test if it can effectively store water when the plug is closed and drain water quickly when the bath plug and waste are open.
Q: What size is a bath waste?
Are bath wastes a standard size? Yes, bath wastes generally come in standard sizes. There are two standard sizes of bath waste, one being 1¼“BSP (32mm) and the other being 1½”BSP (40mm). Myhomeware offers the most common 40mm bath waste, which can fit the majority of modern baths.
